Granite Slug
found on Coruscant, these grey-green amoeba-like creatures had eyestalks and mouths which are underneath their bodies. They prefered to live underground, and moved about by using a thick foot and several suction pseudopods. They were introduced to Coruscant some 346 years before Furgan attempted to assassinate Mon Mothma, in an attempt by the Old Republic to clean up the garbage that existed in the lower level of Imperial City. Because of the amount of garbage (a fact not realized by the old government), the population of granite slugs exploded. This resulted in an rapid improvement in the cleanliness of Imperial City, but also caused a rise in the number of predators that found the slugs appetizing.
