Grand Audience Chamber
this huge, open space located at the top of the Great Temple on Yavin 4 was left intact by the Alliance engineers who excavated the temple for use as their command base. Its natural beauty was awe-inspiring, and the feelings it invoked could not be modified by future generations. It was here that Princess Leia awarded medals of honor to Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca following the Battle of Yavin. Later, Luke Skywalker also chose to leave the chamber intact when he established his Jedi praxeum on Yavin 4.
