this planet was the site of an Alliance storage facility during the Galactic Civil War. Following the death of Jabba the Hutt, the Alliance held Boba Fett's ship, Slave I, there for a number of years until they liquidated it to the highest bidder. This person was paid by Fett to purchase the ship for him.
