After Prime Minister Cundertol was exposed as a traitor to Bakura, Vyram and Malinza were sentenced to "rehabilitation" for their part in the Freedom movement. In order to prove their innocence, they had to prove that the money Cundertol stole from the Bakuran treasury was used to finance his human-replica droid body and his plans with the Ssi-ruuk.

He left to pursue a short career as a mercenary, until he heard about the bounty on Tallon's head. Although ultimately loyal to his own ideals, Shrike returned to Tatooine to help his old friend.
