E! Online got a minute of J. J. Abrams' time as he walked the red carpet at the Producers Guild of America Awards. Naturally, the conversation focused on Star Wars Episode VII and Abrams' recently-announced status as the film's director. "It really is an incredible thing," Abrams told E!'s Marc Malkin of having that job. "It's wildly surreal."
Malkin also asked if Abrams could say anything about a certain trio whose first names rhyme with Clark, Mary, and Garrison, but Abrams replied, "It's obviously way too early to talk specifics. But I'm excited to actually start it."
In other Episode VII news, The Hollywood Reporter's story on the Abrams confirmation includes the following tidbit about the film's release year:
"Episode VII is set for release in 2015, but sources say Abrams has not committed to that release date, meaning the date could be changed if the development process requires it."
Hat tip to Club Jade for spotting both of these links.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
