Canada, the Evil Empire?
What's the evil Sith lord from Star Wars doing on our new $5 bill?
Well, actually that's Sir Wilfrid Laurier - Canada's first French-speaking Prime Minister from 1896 to 1911 (top photo).
But his resemblance is uncanny to Chancellor Palpatine from Star Wars Episode II - Attack Of The Clones (bottom photo). Palpatine doubles as Darth Sidious, future Emperor and master of the dark side.
The image of Queen Elizabeth - no relation to Princess Leia or Queen Amidala - remains on all Canadian coins.
