Star Wars Tram in Germany

Posted By Britany on May 15, 2002

Henrik tells us:

I've just been to a press conference in my Hometown, Braunschweig where 20th century Fox unveiled the ONLY official Star Wars Tram in the WORLD. Expect pictures of it soon.

Also the movie will be shown on 4 screens in Braunschweig and the fun starts at 8 P.M. with short-films, TV episodes, fan films (George Lucas in Love) shown on a big screen, Kendo Fighters fighting Jedi style and the obligatory costumed Fans (expect a little army of Storm Troopers) and much more.

Sounds like fun. Looking forward to pictures of that tram!

Update: Bj?rn adds:

In my hometown (Braunschweig) we celebrate the new Episode in a pretty special way. With a special Star Wars EP2 Tram. The train is completely blue, light blue. Like an AOTC Action Figure Blister card. In the middle of the train the lines "Episode 2 Angriff Der Klonkrieger" can be read on black ground with fighting Jedi Knights in the back. To the right we have Count Dooku and Jago Fett (overexposed, aproximately 2 and a half meters high) and on the far left Anakin, Obi Wan and Mace Windu in the same size.

You can check out a scan of the tram from a newspaper by clicking here. We hope to have pictures soon.
