The Lincoln Journal Star reports on the fans who queued outside the SouthPointe Cinemas to buy tickets. Here's an excerpt:
Camping in front of a theater to be first on your block to see a "Star Wars" epic has become a cultural phenomenon; Acklin did the same thing three years ago. Fans say they do it because they love the films -- and the camaraderie.
"It's fun. Most people, when they think of standing in line -- it's single-file and twiddling your thumbs," said Tim Steiner, 19. "I made sure we had music and board games."
Food was no problem: Steiner also brought a grill for burgers and hot dogs. The theater offered hot chocolate and popcorn. And a good Samaritan stopped by Saturday with free bagels and cream cheese.
Well at least their wait is over. You can read the rest of the article by clicking here. Thanks to Tracie for the alert.
