USA Today has a new article on the reaction to the charity screenings of Clones:
Chicago's Crystal Meyers, 10, was among those who refused to give Spider-Man or Clones top billing. They're just different, she said. Spider-Man "is more like this time, Star Wars is more like the future."
In New York, Ross Katz, 28, said the one-two punch of Spider-Man and Clones reminds him of the good old days. "Both are unbelievable," he said. "These movies make me remember when I was growing up and reading the Spider-Man comic books and seeing Star Wars. Both Spider-Man and this Star Wars movie met my expectations."
The favorite character by far was Yoda, who this time is computer animated, not a puppet. Said 11-year-old Diamond Rivera, who attended a New York show: "He was wise and involved in a lot of action. He was funny. He didn't lollygag like he used to do."
Some acknowledged being less engaged. Scott Parker, 39, a Brooklyn teacher, said the visuals were terrific, but "it was a little too long. I see how they are setting up the characters, and it worked with the films we have seen, but I have no attachment to them."
