Darth Larry sends this:

well, supposedly ewan mcgregor was supposed to be on the today show this morning--and they even announced he was going to be on--but it ended up being hayden. he was interviewed at the skywalker ranch with al roker! kind of surreal.

anyway, nothing new was really revealed. he praised natalie's talents and said it wasn't hard to work with her, or pretend to be enamored with her. al asked about the "sexual" chemistry, which hayden said, yes, there was an initial spark between the two of them, that probably sealed the deal for him to get the part.

al asked if he knew he was going to get the part after he auditioned, but hayden said, no, not at all, he was just happy for the experience of auditioning.

at the end, al asked if he was ready for episode III, and hayden said he was excited to get working on it. he said its exciting creating a character arc over two films. al then asked if he knew what was going to happen, and hayden said he didn't, other than the obvious.

al asked that as soon as hayden knew anything about it, would he let al know first? hayden said, sure. so, maybe we should try and get the scoop from al roker for episode III!!

p.s. saw a promo for the tonight show this week, and they did mention ewan would be on.
