PtrsonsZOO sends in another report on the Denver charity screening on Sunday:
Sunday morning in Denver, Colorado was a rainy mess, but after all of the recent wildfires, nobody was complaining. The tents went up and the goodies were stacked up inside, the stage was setup and the costumed SW geeks started to arrive.
The members of The Rocky Mountain FanForce and The 501st - Mountain Garrison showed up in full force and full regalia. We were able to help setup, register the ticketholders, organize them in lines, lead them into the theatre and then back out for the reception.
There were only a few instances of "rebel" rousing, w/ the crack security team provided by the 501st - Mountain Garrison, and only one instance of conflict between the Sith and the Jedi Council, provided by the Rocky Mtn FF. The entire event went off w/o a hitch, and the sun even came out long enough to keep everyone warm.
The last estimate of money raised was upwards of $90,000 to benefit the Kempe Foundation for the prevention of child abuse.
