Paul sends us this after reading this news post about food and drink issues with the latest Star Wars film:

I saw your blurb in today's force.net (5/24) regarding the sit-down dinner theatre being unable to serve food or drinks during AOTC.

I thought you might be interested to know that it is not a Lucasfilm issue per se, though their legal handlers might have dealt with it. Back in March, I investigated the possibility of renting out a General Cinema Premium theatre (the kind with leather chairs, a full bar, restaurant, etc.) and was informed by them that 20th Century Fox has a general ban on their films being shown in such theatres. Their official reason - they don't want their films associated with alcohol.
