DROIDS

Some random droid names are DUM-4, TC4, OWO-1, P-59. We got the below pictures from CHUD, Prequel Watch, and AICN.

Above, we have two familiar droids from the Special Editions that will also be in the prequel, ASP-77 and the Neo Hoppe Probe Droid. We also have OTOGA-222,

Here we have the Pod Race Camera droid, the ROLO Droid, and DOM-4, a Pod Race pit droid.

These are PK-4 which is a Federation Droid ( or it could be EG-9 who is a Federation Battleship worker) and the Sith Probe droid that flies around the Pod Race crowd searching for our heroes.

Here we have a familiar looking droid called G8-R3, a pit droid from Tatooine similar to EV-9D9 called OTT-RM, and a protocol droid on the Federation Battleship called TC-3.

Above is the Destroyer Droid. You may remember an old report by Bothan Spy from November of 97 on this site referring to it.:

"There are also "Destroyer Droids", which 'roll' into the hanger. They then open out, rather like an earwig, into a mean, black, tripod robot with guns for hands."

As Bothan reported, they roll up into a ball and roll around. Kind of like a Transformer, eh? Anyway, they come in several color variations. Dark bronze, black, and gold.

Variations of Protocol droids will be seen, as shown in this Insider picture:

Sebastian Niedlich sent us these new pictures from the German Star Wars Magazine.

R2 units.

Thanks to Roderick Vonhogen for touching up a couple of the pictures for us.

The following are from the Star Wars Insider #39

The robot drawn by Doug Chiang is likely an early drawing of the Destroyer Droid.
