New York, NY, JUNE 11, 2003 ? It's a national holiday and the start of the third season of MAIL CALL with R. Lee Ermey! To celebrate both events, The History Channel? is taking host R. Lee Ermey to the troops in the Middle East, for a one-hour special ? carried live from Kuwait* ? to launch a new season of MAIL CALL. The special is the culmination of three days of specially themed programming on The History Channel, called the "Force of July Weekend," dedicated to our fighting forces. The weekend will include the following programs:

? Friday, July 4: DESERT RAIDERS at 8pm ET/PT
? Saturday, July 5: USS EAGLE 56 at 8pm ET/PT
? Sunday, July 6: MAIL CALL MARATHON, 1pm-8pm ET/PT
? Sunday, July 6: MAIL CALL: LIVE FROM THE GULF, a special one-hour season premiere at 10pm ET*
? Sunday, July 6: CONQUEST season premiere at 11pm ET/PT

MAIL CALL, the weekly half-hour series that answers viewers' questions about the evolution of combat technology, launched on The History Channel in August 2002, and quickly acquired a devoted following. The new one-hour season premiere will include segments on military technology relating to desert warfare and live host stand-ups by R. Lee Ermey on a base in Kuwait.
