Empire 30th Anniversary Art Collection #8

Posted By Chris on October 22, 2010

Empire 30th Anniversary Artwork Collection #8 by Jamie Snell:

Part of StarWarsShop's year-long celebration of The Empire Strikes Back's 30th anniversary is this exclusive new artist series featuring work from some of today's most well-known Star Wars illustrators.

Every month starting in March, StarWarsShop will release one new limited edition Acme Archives print showcasing a memorable scene from The Empire Strikes Back in serial order -- that is, each new scene will be released in story order as it appeared in the film. What makes this serialized set unique, however, is that each of the 12 scenes will showcase the talents of an artist who brings his or her own individual style to the piece, making for a wonderfully diverse portfolio of artwork inspired by The Empire Strikes Back.

StarWarsShop launches the eighth entry in its exclusive Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary Artwork Collection today with Jamie Snell's "Oh My. I Am Terribly Sorry...," an illustration which captures the moment C-3PO is confronted by stormtroopers on Cloud City (and is subsequently blasted apart -- how rude!).

From a limited edition of just 100 signed and numbered prints, Snell's artwork continues the Empire narrative as expressed through the previous seven entries in this series (a few of which are still available).

- Measures 12 inches by 16 inches
- Giclee on watercolor paper
- Limited edition of 100
- Hand signed and numbered
