Star Wars: Total Annihilation (SW:TA) is a mod for Total Annihilation, the elder Real Time Strategy game that's been out for over 6 years. Overshadowed by Starcraft and Command and Conquer, Total Annihilation is nonetheless an awesome gamne, and there are even rumors circling about a seqeul in the works.

SW:TA puts you as either the imperials or the Rebels in skirmish battles, where you can abttle with Classic Star Wars Fighters like the A-Wing, X-Wing, TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor, and other Expanded Universe fighters like the V-Wing, TIE Defender, and TIE Phantom. Wreck the Rebel base with AT-ST's, AT-PT's, and more Imperial walkers as well as a regiment of Stormtroopers, or capture the Imperial base with Wookiee Soldiers, E-Webs, Repulsorlift Attack Craft.

Besides being around for over 4 years, SW:TA has another semi-unique note to its credit. It has successfully modded the demo of Total Annihilation so even if you don't own the game or can't find it on eBay, you can still play the demo!
