Spanning June 26th -28th, Profiles in History will be holding a Hollywood Auction in Calabasas, California featuring several high end props used in the making of Star Wars. The items included are Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (estimated at $150,000-$250,000) as well as a Darth Vader helmet and shoulder armor from A New Hope (estimated at $40,000-$60,000). The real gem however is the R2-D2. The item description on shows that is was assembled from original components spanning the original Star Wars trilogy and Episodes I & II. They are estimating the iconic astromech will fetch between 1 and 2 million on the third and final day of the auction.
