Peter Mayhew & The 501st At Mardi Gras

It's Mardi Gras time and Peter Mayhew was onhand at the Tucks Parade yesterday (2-2-08). Together with the 501st they waved and greeted fans as they moved through the crowded streets. See below for some pics and click on them for a larger view.

UPDATE: Nancy, who provided us with the pictures from above, sent in the following update:

"At the parade tonight (Bacchus), there was another Star Wars themed float. No actors from the films or costumed characters, but instead there was a huge Luke and the droids and a Tie Fighter as the main decoration on a float dedicated to the films of the '70's. Vader was on a mural on the side panel. Since it was period films and not just SW, the masked riders were dressed as John Travolta, including the disco hair and that white suit."
