HERCULES Laser Reminds Of The Death Star

Click here if you'd like a bit of a lesson about the HERCULES laser that has been made at the University of Michigan. This seems to be the closest thing we've seen to a man made Death Star like beam...though a bit smaller, of course.

"If you could hold a giant magnifying glass in space and focus all the sunlight shining toward Earth onto one grain of sand, that concentrated ray would approach the intensity of a new laser beam made in a University of Michigan laboratory." - Physorg
