Panama's Jedi Council, an official FanForce chapter, has been recognized by Panama América for their contribution to local fandom and the community at large.
The newspaper interviewed Alberto Velarde (JediMasterPanama), president and Chapter Representative of Jedi Council Panama, although they incorrectly refer to him as "Carlos," and Julio García, a fellow member of the Jedi Council. In the article they discuss the group's activity, such as the 2005 Jedi Fest and their participation in Celebration III, as well as their collections.
