A Word from "Dr. Qui-Gon" John Liddle
Director of "THE TEN DOLLAR FAN FILM"
This movie intentionally breaks the rules of good production, especially where costumes are concerned. The premise is that we didn't have any MONEY to do things otherwise. The result is, I think, pretty funny, and that's the ultimate point.
Some of the effects are SO bad that you can't help but laugh. (But, hey, it's just a show...you should really just relax.) It has a Fellini-esque flavor to it, as The Formula: Enriched, did when it became a documentary about a film. It's aware of its own absurdity while keeping a straight face. The antics of the crew frustrate the director but, in the end, the film is completed.
Serve with wine, because this is a cheesy movie!
