THE FORCE IS STRONG IN LUCASARTS' STAR WARS®: JEDI KNIGHT: THE NEW JEDI ORDER, FAST AND FURIOUS RPG ACTION FOR YOUR PC Intense Lightsaber Combat, Legions of Powerful New Enemies, and Tons of New Allies SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- January 9, 2003-- LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC continues its tradition of excellence in first-person RPG action with Jedi Knight: The New Jedi Order Companion Missions. Expected to release for PC in late '03, the NJO package works with your current copy of Jedi Knight, and continues the adventures of fan-favorite Kyle Katarn. Now married to Jan Ors and well on his way to being a full-fledged Jedi Master, Kyle's living in an era of peace; something his father could only dream of. Suddenly, a new threat from outside the galaxy appears in the form of the Yuuzhan Vong, a ruthless anti-technology race bent on galactic domination. Can Kyle stop them in time? "The New Jedi Order mission pack carries on in the grand scheme of the old Dark Forces games, while adding a whole new level to the gameplay," says Joel Dreskin, product marketing manager for LucasArts. "Players will have a whole array of new weapons, force powers, etc., and each new feature plays a key part in the ultimate defeat of the Vong." A defeat which will not come easily. The Yuuzhan Vong are somehow devoid of the Force, and as such, many of Kyle's traditional attacks will not work directly against Vong soldiers. You won't be alone, however. One major advance from Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith is the occasional inclusion of a backup Jedi or two; throughout the course of the game, players will occasionally be accompanied by either Jacen Solo, Anakin Solo, or Corran Horn. It's a good thing, too; because Kyle will need all the help he can get.
