National Retcon Week

Posted By Paul on April 12, 2008

There's a little time left in National Retcon Week over on TF.N's message boards.

For those of you who don't know, a retcon is a piece of retroactive continuity, a new plot-point that explains a discontinuity between two contradictory details in a great big story like the Star Wars mythos, or one that simply adds another layer of explanation and depth and makes the story more interesting overall.

Every year (more or less) TF.N invites fans to suggest retcons on the "Literature" message board. These aren't official in any way - it's just a way for fans, particularly those who're interested in the Expanded Universe, to offer their thoughts on the continuity of the franchise, and to have fun doing so.

National Retcon Week this year is almost done already. Today is the last day of the designated week. But you can still head on over to the NRW thread, and check it out!
