A variety of Mon Calamari warships have been described or have appeared in roleplaying games, card games and computer games. They mostly very difficult to identify with the ships appearing in other media, particularly the types present at the Battle of Endor (which had distinctly different shapes). Therefore most of these ships are defined by the games, and are at best behind-the-scenes vessels that were absent from all available Endorian documentation.
The cruiser described as MC80 probably exists in some time and place in the galaxy. The Calamarian flagship Home One has dimensions and armaments which differ dramatically from all the data below; therefore it certainly doesn't belong in the MC80 series. The ships described as “MC80” may be vaguely comparable to cruisers and battlecruisers like Liberty and its wingless cousins, but their shapes are inconsistent in detail.
The MC90 roleplaying game statistics are a rare, unambiguous case. They describe the warships which attacked the Imperial Allegiance in Dark Empire.
What is the usefulness of game statistics? They give some indication of the relative strengths of vessels, within a particular gaming system and subject to its biases (e.g. the pro-starfighter bias of flight simulators, and the pro-hero bias of roleplaying games). However it may prove difficult or impossible to correlate these gaming numbers with actual performance values in metric. More benchmarks are needed, such as film footage of Mon Calamari turbolaser shots fired into asteroids or other targets that enable measurements from calorimetry.
